A project is a temporary endeavor ubdertaken to create a unique product, service or result. Project
Management, thus, is an application of specific knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project
activities to meet project requirements. A Project Management Professional certificate, abbreviated as
PMP, is offered by Project Management Institute, USA [www.pmi.org], and is internationally recognized
including Canada. Once a candidate passes PMP exam, he/ she is authorized to write the credentials
PMP in front of his/ her name. PMP is an online exam administered by Prometric Computer Testing
Centers throughout the world. It is a 4 hour exam with 200 multiple choice questions.
